Solidarity with the Poor — in Word and in Deed

We believe the Gospel is lived, not just spoken. Since 1995, the Ministry of the Good Shepherd has stood alongside the Sisters of Mercy in Peru to fund programs that give children futures, families stability, and communities hope.

  • To live out the gospel of Jesus
  • To serve the poor with compassion
  • To seek relationships of solidarity with them
  • To show respect for the dignity of people through empowerment and education

Our Vision: A world in which the gospel is lived and alive in skilled, educated, empowered and transformed communities of faith.

Our Programs in Peru

Every dollar given funds one of these active projects, led by the Sisters of Mercy on the ground in Alto Trujillo and Mache.

"What you see at San Jose — a chapel that is full and alive every week. A library full of students every day. Ten Care Centers where 100 children are fed and cared for. Young people going to college who would never have had the opportunity. All of this has been brought about because there were Christian people with a spirit of solidarity in Boca Raton and Ireland." — Sister Immaculata, Sisters of Mercy, Alto Trujillo, Peru
